SUMMER PROGRAMS FUNDED BY UW STT-STJ GET STARTED!
Some families in St. Thomas and St. John, who need an affordable and educational summer experience for their children and young adults enroll with one of our United Way funded agencies each year. Lutheran Reformation Summer Program hosts 60-70 youngsters ages 3 -14 years. This year’s program starts June 19th, and will feature tutoring, arts and crafts, and field trips. Ms. Ina Christian, Director, deserves our heartfelt thanks for her years of selfless work with the kids. The most affordable summer program in the St. Thomas-St. John district is conducted by Catholic Charities on the grounds at Sts. Peter and Paul School. Many thanks to on-site Director and teacher, Ms. Clendenin, who will begin the six-week program for 50-60 children on June 19th. Another popular summer program is St. Thomas Reformed Church camp held at Magen’s Bay for youth ages 4-12. The program, which features music, swimming and bible study starts July 10th . Other United Way agencies that offer youth activities during summer months include Civil Air Patrol and Boy Scouts. Call 774-3185 for information.
