PRESS RELEASE - March 1, 2005
UNITED WAY REPEATS ITS 10TH ANNUAL FLEA MARKET
ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands For those who missed United Way of St. Thomas-St. John’s annual Bazaar and Flea Market on February 21, United Way will hold a second mini-flea market on Saturday, March 5th at the Emancipation Gardens from 9am to 3 pm. There will be lots of fabulous bargains on furniture, household goods, computer equipment, books and CDs with men’s, women’s and children’s clothing reduced drastically. Unusual items such as stainless steel boat fender holders, beautifully framed original artwork, and baby carriers will also be available for sale.
President of the Board, Juanita Young, invited everyone to come out and support this last-minute effort by the Campaign Committee as its wraps up the 2004-2005 Campaign. “Every dollar counts as United Way completes this year’s fundraising drive with only $100,000 more to go to meet the campaign goal of $800,000.”
