UNITED WAY HOLDS ANNUAL BAZAAR AND FLEA MARKET
ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands The United Way of St. Thomas-St. John will hold its annual Bazaar and Flea Market on Saturday, February 21, at the American Legion Hall in Sub Base, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A local favorite, this special event features the sale of previously-owned household goods, toys, books, CDs, furniture, electronic equipment, clothing and accessories at fabulously low prices. The United Way’s member agencies will also be on hand, selling local food and drinks, native sweets, hot dogs and hamburgers under the “Food Court” tent. Other agencies will sell plants, provide entertainment and music and all will be available to explain their service programs. Chairperson of the event, Debra Watlington, said that “this is always a fun-filled day, with all the monies raised going to support United Way’s 16 member agencies.” In addition to the fabulous bargains, with every $10.00 purchase participants are eligible for raffle prizes drawn every 30 minutes. She added that the value of items donated to the United Way for the Flea Market is tax deductible. To donate goods to the Flea Market or to volunteer to assist with the event, please contact the United Way office at 774-3185. Care enough about your community to give. |
